Future Musician?

Isla loves listening to the guitar. She was a fan of acoustic Pearl Jam even before she was born. This is just me playing around and trying to remember a few chords (I'm way out of practice), but James plays for her and she's picked up on how it works. This shot is a little fuzzy- she has the pic and is trying to strum.

No hands needed.

We're back

We've had some exciting developments. Isla is crawling now and she has two bottom front teeth. She is saying "Mama" and "Dada" and "Dah" (which I think is "dog"). And, let's see, she is also starting to use a sippy cup. Fun times! I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. She's growing up too fast already.

Here's a little peek into past few weeks.

Tinker Bell. All dressed up to attend the Little Five Points Halloween Parade. James asked if the bow was too big. Certainly not! :)

Very Excited.

Here she comes.

Afternoon in the park.

You can't see Isla's so well, but she and Lucy are both showing
of their snaggle teeth.

Little sweater dress.

Isla is blessed to have five Great Grandparents. Two of which visited this weekend along with my Mom (Isla's "Nina"). Here, Isla is donning Papa's hat. I think she is quite cute in it.

First Tooth

Isla's first tooth has come in! I'll try to get a photo when it becomes a little more visible. In the meantime, here's a fun one of her all snuggled up and ready to go play in the cool weather.

Grocery Shopping

Back from Beyond

Hi Everyone, I apologize for taking so long to get back to the blog. It's been of mix of traveling, working and leaving our camera at friend's house that's kept me away so long. I thought I'd just post a photo trip of the past month to catch you up on what Isla's been up to.

A few new milestones to note: She's sitting up on her own, eating solids (well pureed solids), babbling all the time. She loves to be read to and sometimes she reads along with me. Her favorite books right now are "One Fish, Two Fish", "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?", and Mercer Mayer's "Where is my Frog?".

A photo montage...
Happy Daddies and cute babies!
Visiting with her little friend, Milo. (Isla 6mo., Milo 3mo.)

She was happy the whole flight there and slept the whole flight back.

Our Trip to Augusta

We went to Augusta this past weekend to visit our cousins, Richard and Morgan and their beautiful twins, Mercer Anne and Woodson. We had a wonderful visit and look forward to more in the future. I can't wait for Isla to be able to play with the twins. For now, she just sat back and watched amusingly. We managed to get all three babies together for a few quick pics.

Peas!

We tried food for the first time this week. Sweet peas were the suggested starter, she kind of liked them.

Bringing things up to date...

Isla had her first trip to the pool and she truly is a water baby. She loved it. I can't wait to take her to the beach! Here she is modeling her new suit and playing in the water.

She's trying to sit up on her own, but hasn't quite mastered it yet, so her bumpo helps a bit. Thanks to Christine for the cute outfit!

Welcome.

I'm starting this blog so our loved ones who we don't see as often as we like can catch up on the rapidly changing life of Isla. Every week is a new experience and I wanted to be able to share it with those of you who would like to follow. Welcome.
