I wondered on the day of class pictures how they were going to get 20 two year olds to sit still long enough to capture them in all of their cuteness. Well, it worked out just as I thought, they didn't, but it sure was fun to watch.

Catching Up

Giraffe Experience

One of Isla's classmates invited us to join them on a "Giraffe Experience". The Atlanta Zoo built a new facility where you can walk out close to the giraffes and feed them lettuce. Our hopes were a little too high the day of our visit. Our only experience was being able to see the giraffes, zebras and ostriches a bit closer than you normally would, which was still pretty neat. The giraffes still aren't quite used to the new structure so they wouldn't come up, even with the tasty temptation of romaine lettuce being waved at them vigorously.

First Beach Trip of the Summer

We took a little vacation to Sarasota FL to visit family last week. The weather was perfect and the beach was beautiful. Isla is right at home in the sand and water. She loved it, as did I.

We brought Aunt Karri back with us for the week. Isla is loving every minute of it. Here she is ready to go to the bouncy house.

Birthday Party!

This weekend was the last of Isla's week long birthday celebration. I will miss singing "Happy Birthday to Isla" everyday. (We may let her continue that if she wants to). We ended with a birthday party on Saturday and I have to say for having 7 children under the age of 4 in the house, it went surprisingly well. The cupcakes were the center of attention, every once in a while you would see a little head lingering just beside the table staring longingly at them. A few swipes of frosting may have taken place, who's to tell.

Happy 2nd Birthday to Our Isla!

Our little Isla bean turns TWO today! We celebrated this morning with a birthday muffin and "Happy Birthday to Isla" and then had cupcakes with her classmates at school today.
